Welcome to Trentham Park Seniors 2024
2023 saw the Seniors maintain their growth in number boasting 118 members.
The Seniors’ 2024/25 programme is again packed with activities and the list of events can be found lower down in this section as can the roll of winners of our keenly contested Senior Majors during 2023.
Our updated match fixture list for 2023 was a great success with the newly acquired fixtures at Mickleover, The Chase and Hawkstone Park GCs being well supported. The influx of new members to the Seniors last year saw a welcome boost to the pool of players taking part in our matches.
Our away day in 2023 will be at Davenport GC and if we have the numbers who enjoyed the day at Druids Heath, in 2023, going to Davenport, another great time will be had.
Through the year we have twenty-four matches where we entertain or are entertained by twelve other clubs, five major competitions open to general members of the club and two closed competitions. We will also schedule some added fun events.
For a general member of TPGC to play in our “open” competitions the entry fee is £3 per competition whereas for members of the Seniors the entry is covered by their membership. If a non-member of the Seniors were to play all five open competitions that would amount to £15 whereas membership of the Seniors costs just £10.
The new Seniors’ Captain for 2024 is Dave Archibald and his Vice Captain is Phil Maitland. We know they will be excellent representatives of the Seniors and wish them every success.
I look forward to another successful year for the Seniors and to welcoming returning and new members to our group.
The Seniors’ Committee comprises of five members, me, Bill Maddocks (Secretary), Brian Freeman (Treasurer), Barry Hubberts (Competitions Secretary) and Phil Maitland (Matchday Secretary). Please feel free to approach any of us if you are an existing member wishing to renew your membership or a new member thinking of joining us.
